Move Every Hour!
 

Research has shown that people who sit for long stretches of time, tend to have a higher risk for heart disease. Research has also shown that standing more (or getting up moving around periodically) may modestly improve this risk.

The goal for July is to move a few minutes every hour for at least 12 hours! This means getting up from a seated position every hour for 12 hours.  If you currently have a wearable device that logs this, that’s great! If not, you can still participate!

We suggest setting an alarm on your phone to remind you to  stand up and move every hour!

Move every hour for least 12 hours/day for a minimum of 20 days in July AND submit the form below to Mandi Artino, to earn credit for this activity.

Submit your completed sheet to Mandi Artino by August 9, 2019.
