It’s that time of year again!! Time to kick-off the Bellevue United Selective Fund (BUSF) Drive!
There are many reasons to contribute to the BUSF. The money given helps individuals at our hospital, in our communities and through not-for-profit organizations here, locally and all over the world!
Throughout the month of October, we will be taking a cart around to all hospital departments, selling “goodies” to help raise funds for the BUSF. Our first day of selling treats will be Thursday, Oct. 4.
This year:
- We will be selling kettle corn, caramel corn, caramel apples, BIG cookies (with milk) and ice cream sandwiches! Attached is the calendar of days we will be selling items.
- Kettle corn is $3.00 per bag
- Caramel corn is $2.00 per bag (with or without peanuts)
- BIG cookies are $1.00 each
- Caramel apples are $2.50 each or 3 for $7.00 (with or without peanuts)
- Ice cream sandwiches are $1.00 each (NEW ITEM THIS YEAR)
- Milk is $.50 per carton and will be sold on BIG Cookie days (NEW ITEM THIS YEAR)
- The Main Station Café will be selling some of the items in the cafeteria, and employees will be able to use Swipe-N-Dine for those treats! You will be asked to swipe your badge once for food purchases not related to the BUSF, and once for your BUSF items as these purchases must be kept separate from normal swipes. (Please note employees cannot use their “free” birthday swipes for Selective Fund food items).
- Cart items will be cash or check only! If you prefer to use a debit or credit card, please purchase your items in the Main Station Café.
- NEW THIS YEAR: The Specialty Coffee Station located in the Atrium will be selling a Pumpkin Spice Latte during the month of October. Money will be donated to the BUSF Drive for each Pumpkin Spice Latte sold (50-cents for each small latte and 75-cents for each medium or large latte).
- We will also be selling raffle tickets for an Employee 50-50 drawing, for 100 scratch-off lottery tickets, and for the BUSF Community Raffle. All raffle tickets are cash or check only (NO swipe-n-dine) and are $1 each or six tickets for $5 (for 50-50 and lottery raffles). The Community Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20.

Pledge cards for the 2018-19 Bellevue United Selective Fund Drive are due by 9 a.m., Oct. 30, 2018. Please turn in all completed pledge cards to your team captain, or to Holly Weichel in Patient Financial Services (Ext. 4211).
Employees can donate to any 501 (C) 3 non-profit charity, anywhere in the country.
If an employee wants to donate to the hospital, information on the back of the form spells out giving options.
Please remember, if using payroll deduction, make sure the form is filled out entirely and sign the front of the pledge form! (There is a minimum of a $5.00 donation if using payroll deduction).
A PIZZA PARTY is again being offered to any team getting 100% participation!
All TBH employees who donate to the drive will also be entered in to prize drawings. A partial list of prizes is listed below. Winners are subject to any tax withholdings. Please let your team captain know if you would like to opt-out of the prize drawings. The drawings will be held on Oct. 30.
